Lace

This wondrous lace was handmade in the town of Sovetsk (the old name of the town is Kukarka), which stands on the banks of the river Vyatka in Russia. This was the center of lace-making at the end of the 19th and start of 20th centuries, and the local products won prizes at competitions in Paris, Saint-Petersburg and Atlanta. We decided to include English motifs in the lace: stone flowers on the Victorian houses of Hampstead.

"I love being creative but, because I can't sew, I get clothes made for me. This Christmas I'll be wearing this forest green silk dress that was made for me by a Russian designer called Mrs Pomeranz (mrs-pomeranz.com). I found her online, as I follow a lot of fashion blogs and I really liked her style. This dress is quite 1950s, which suits my hourglass figure. The colour makes me feel Christmassy and I chose silk, because it reminded me of those vintage model ads."

Mrs Pomeranz FW 2014-2015

Mrs Pomeranz FW 2014-2015  collection was inspired by Russian cold winters, Scottish rainy days and how to stay warm among them.
We used the traditional woolen lace shawls from Russia and hand woven cotton lace details. There are all sorts of tartans and checks and several beautiful hand painted floral designs from Liberty.
